This means errors in Go carry arbitrary unstructured information, every package invents its own error types, and the compiler has absolutely no idea what errors a function might return. The ecosystem built on top of this (errors.Is(), errors.As(), fmt.Errorf("%w")) is entirely a set of runtime conventions, not compile-time guarantees.
